Demand Media | 07/19/2010

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – July 20, 2010 – eNom, Inc., the world’s largest ICANN accredited domain name wholesaler, announced today at HostingCon 2010 the availability of .CO domain names to all eNom resellers.  The launch of the General Availability (GA) window for .CO marks the final stage of the re-launch of the .CO top-level-domain extension.  eNom is one of ten accredited registrars selected by the .CO domain registry to resell the .CO extension, and is offering .CO domains at the competitive rate of $25 per year.

eNom customers can access .CO domain names in two ways, depending on the nature of the names they are interested in purchasing.  First, premium names can be bid on through the company’s exclusive partnership with auction site NameJet.  Second, personalized .CO names can be registered through the standard process at eNom, where customers have access to competitive .CO domain name registry pricing of just $25 per domain, with no limit to the number of .CO domains a single customer can register.

“Not only are we pleased to be selected as one of the exclusive registrars of the .CO domain name, but we’re also excited to announce this unique opportunity for our resellers at HostingCon,” said Chris Sheridan, vice president of Sales for eNom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Demand Media™.  “The availability of the.CO TLD through eNom demonstrates our ongoing commitment to expand our domain offerings so that resellers can get the names they want at an affordable price.”

“The .CO domain has emerged from its sunrise and landrush phases as a truly global, recognizable and credible domain that caters to the needs of major companies, entrepreneurs and individuals,” said Juan Diego Calle, CEO of .CO Internet S.A.S., the registry operator for the .CO TLD. “The launch of the .CO domain certainly would not have been as great a success without our partnership with eNom and its network of trusted reseller partners.”

.CO domain names are now available for registration at eNom.com , eNomCentral.com and Bulkregister.com.  For more information, please visit eNom.com.
