LIVESTRONG.COM Achieves Rapid Growth through Unique Health-Oriented Content and Vibrant Community

SANTA MONICA, Calif., December 17, 2008 – LIVESTRONG.COM, the definitive destination for relevant and useful health, fitness and lifestyle-related information, announced today that since the site launched in June 2008, online traffic has increased to 4 million monthly visits (Google Analytics), with a high level of engagement. In less than six months, LIVESTRONG.COM has added more than 650,000 registered members and more than 4,300 groups have formed on the site. Further, more than 75,000 “Dares” have been taken and, to date, more than 100 million food items, physical activities and exercises have been tracked using The Daily Plate now on LIVESTRONG.COM. The site’s content, applications and social media functionality, powered by Pluck® software, help LIVESTRONG.COM visitors access information and connect with members to share their experiences and knowledge about living a healthy lifestyle.

LIVESTRONG.COM also launched a new section of the site, “
On Tour With Lance,” designed to keep consumers informed and inspired by Armstrong’s progress as he re-enters the world of competitive cycling. 

‘On Tour With Lance’ contains exclusive content that allows visitors to get up close and personal with
photos, videos and blogs that follow Lance throughout his training and worldwide cancer awareness campaign. The section also features updates from Lance’s Twitter feed and a blog by his personal coach Chris Carmichael. Rounding out the “On Tour With Lance” section is a blog from close friend Chris Brewer of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, who has chronicled Lance’s cycling career for over a decade.

In addition to “On Tour With Lance,” new LIVESTRONG.COM features include:
· Adopt a Dare – The LIVESTRONG.COM Dare To™ tool empowers consumers to take or give dares, such as exercising more or quitting smoking. Members can now ‘adopt’ a dare they are passionate about, thereby leading and growing the conversation among thousands of people invested in the issue.
· Calorie Tracker for iPhone and iTouch – The Free ‘Calorie Tracker’ helps iPhone and iPod Touch users manage weight and track fitness while mobile. With over 570,000 downloads in the past 45 days, LIVESTRONG Calorie Tracker is already the No. 1 health application in the iTunes App Store. The new application makes it easy to track what you eat, monitor nutritional intake and calculate how many calories are burned through exercise each day.
