As part of the company's founding team, Courtney is responsible for developing Demand Media's distinctive corporate culture, including overseeing recruitment, career development, training, facilities and human resources initiatives company-wide.  Previously as SVP of Demand Vertical Networks, she helped define Demand Media's strategy for its industry-leading domain business and managed 36 of its owned-and-operated Media properties.

Courtney joined Demand Media after five years at Yahoo!/Overture, including two years as Director of the domain name and registrar business, where she was responsible for managing over $300 million of paid search revenues. She also helped develop product and strategy for the direct navigation business and managed the advertising sales and marketing team at Yahoo!/Overture. Previous to her tenure at Yahoo!, Courtney held sales and management positions at AllAdvantage.com and eBillboards.

Courtney holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
