Teri was appointed Dean of UCLA’s School of Theater Film and Television in 2009 after serving for six years as founding dean of Loyola Marymount University’s (LMU) School of Film and Television. Hollywood Reporter has named her one of the “two most influential women on the planet when it comes to shaping the next generation of filmmakers.”
Previously, she was an award-winning feature film producer having developed and produced successful films including the Golden Globe Best Picture nominee Sister Act, Beaches, Nuts, and many others. Her projects have garnered nominations in a variety of categories for Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, MTV and CLIO awards
Teri earned a BA in English literature from UCLA, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and received an MA degree in film from the University of London.
