You Might Be A New York Times Best-Seller and Other Good News
We’re known for creating content that informs and inspires our audiences, but we also like to entertain them.  In fact according to comScore, our very entertaining comedy website Cracked.com is the most visited humor site online.  And with the recent publication of Cracked’s first-ever book, You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News, we’re now entertaining legions of readers offline as well.

You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News just debuted at #9 on The New York Times Best Seller list and #13 on the Los Angeles Times list thanks to thousands of rabid Cracked.com devotees and new fans alike, who rushed out to grab their copy.  A hilarious collection of unbelievable trivia and mind-blowing minutiae, the book also peaked at #18 on Amazon’s top seller list, and was sold out on the site for 10 days.

But it’s more fun for us to look beyond the big numbers, and see how the book is connecting with individual readers across the country and around the world.  And perhaps because so many visitors to Cracked.com share our articles and videos through social media (Cracked content was shared on Facebook more than 200,000 times in December), plenty of them are also using social media to share with us how much they love the book.

Here are a few of my favorite tweets so far:

We’re excited and honored to see such an amazing response to You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News. We think the reason Cracked.com content connects with such a large and vocal audience is that so much of it is created by the fans, for the fans. We hope to continue to provide them the very best comedy, whether it’s on the Internet or at their favorite bookstore.

And speaking of bookstores, you can pick up your own copy of You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News from sellers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Borders, or for the Kindle or NOOKbook.
