SANTA MONICA, Calif., December 17, 2008 – LIVESTRONG.COM, the definitive destination for relevant and useful health, fitness and lifestyle-related information, announced today that since the site launched in June 2008, online traffic has increased to 4 million monthly visits (Google Analytics), with a high level of engagement. In less than six months, LIVESTRONG.COM has added more than 650,000 registered members and more than 4,300 groups have formed on the site. Further, more than 75,000 “Dares” have been taken and, to date, more than 100 million food items, physical activities and exercises have been tracked using The Daily Plate now on LIVESTRONG.COM. The site’s content, applications and social media functionality, powered by Pluck® software, help LIVESTRONG.COM visitors access information and connect with members to share their experiences and knowledge about living a healthy lifestyle.

LIVESTRONG.COM also launched a new section of the site, “On Tour With Lance,” designed to keep consumers informed and inspired by Armstrong’s progress as he re-enters the world of competitive cycling.
‘On Tour With Lance’ contains exclusive content that allows visitors to get up close and personal with photos, videos and blogs that follow Lance throughout his training and worldwide cancer awareness campaign. The section also features updates from Lance’s Twitter feed and a blog by his personal coach Chris Carmichael.
